About Me

My name is Ashley Hart and I created Hart to Heart Photography in 2010 when I was just a senior in high school. I specialize in portraits, particularly high school seniors and families.

My favorite part about taking pictures is connecting with people on a personal level so that I have the best shot of capturing their personalities inside each and every photograph. So I thought, what better way to utilize my last name than to use it as a platform to show others that this isn’t just a job that I do for the money. This business truly is about using my “Hart” and love of the art to hopefully connect to YOUR heart in a way and give you memories that you can cherish forever. If I can give you one image that you can look at 5 years down the road and it makes you relive that moment than I know I’ve done my job.

What you can expect.

Candids are my FAV! No one likes feeling posed, stiff, and awkward in pictures so don’t be shocked if I do something stupid just to get those genuine smiles and little giggles. It’s my job to make you feel as comfortable as possible because that’s when the joy, love, and raw emotions come alive. That being said, once I’ve gotten you loosed up a little there will be some of those “boring” classic poses...you’ll thank me later ;)

Don’t be afraid to tell my what you do and don’t want. I want there to be open communication from the moment we book a session. I don’t ever want to make you do something you aren’t comfortable with or have you feel like you couldn’t voice your opinions/requests. A photo shoot is all about team work and by the end it should feel like we’ve known each other for years.

Am I the real deal?

(Just a little bit more of back history about myself. ) In 2014 I got a commercial photography degree from the Art Institute of Atlanta in Dunwoody, GA. I was professionally trained on how to use studio lighting equipment and shoot anything from Architecture to product shots of perfume bottles. I am very grateful for the knowledge and training that I acquired and I love that I am able to photograph such a huge variety of things.... but it didn’t take me very long to figure out that I very much prefer working with people over a dining room chair.

If you are still reading at this point we are gonna be friends for sure ;)

So what feeds my passion for photography? I could answer that in a million different ways but it always boils down to one person and one thing. Jesus and opportunities. God calls us to be the light in this ugly and hateful world and photography gives me the opportunity to spread love and hopefully make a difference in someone’s life. It gives me the opportunity to plant a seed and hope that my clients might notice something different about me and be intrigued enough to ask about it. If asked, it gives me the opportunity to share the awesome truths about the grace he shows us everyday and that we are not enslaved to this cruel world forever. It gives me the opportunity to tell them that there is a God out there that loves us so much more than we could ever humanly imagine and has a plan for each and every one of us. God gives us each spiritual gifts to use so that we can go out a make disciples. It was no mistake that I was given the heart of a servant with a passion for art and people. He knows what he he is doing even when we feel like we are spinning in circles.

So why do I have a passion for photography? Because every 1 hour session, gives me the opportunity to gain another brother or sister in Christ <3
